Making the world a better place for humans and animals alike.

August 3, 2021 – Millions of dogs are surrendered to shelters each year due to animal cruelty, neglect, and abuse. Thankfully, Beast & Buckle gives back to animal rescues and charities to help make the world a better place for pets and humans.

Beast & Buckle is more than a harness company; it’s the product of an unbreakable bond between a man and his dog. Stew (human and co-founder of Beast & Buckle) adopted Clark (French Bulldog and co-founder) circa 2016. In February of 2019, the dog accessory business came to fruition, and Beast & Buckle launched its online store. Since then, the retailer has donated tens of thousands in total to worthy causes for animals and people.

“Giving back is what Beast & Buckle is all about,” said an executive source. “As a small family business, we’re thrilled to [have] donated over $30,000 in gear to organizations that help dogs. It’s an incredible milestone for us.”

Since launching in 2019, Beast & Buckle has made regular donations harnesses, leashes, and collars, to organizations supporting animals and mental health, and it routes 5% of each sale on its website to these organizations via cash donations as well.

The Nala Foundation is one charity backed by Beast & Buckle. It was born from the love of an adopted brindle French Bulldog, Nala, whose legacy lives on to help rescued Frenchies’ families with unexpected medical bills.

Another is French Bulldog Village, a nationwide rescue network that rehabilitates and re-homes rescued Frenchies and lends financial aid to private rescuers.

A third organization supported by Beast & Buckle is Paws and Stripes; an homage to Stew, a Navy veteran. The nonprofit helps veterans with mental concerns like PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and traumatic brain injuries from combat, for example, find canine companions.

To dig a little deeper into dogs’ impact on returning and recovering veterans, it comes down to a long-known principle: dogs are man’s best friend. Pups (like Stew’s French Bulldog, Clark) help veterans through emotional distress and feelings of vulnerability. Beast & Buckle is an ally to veterans and animal rescues alike.

Although French Bulldogs are a favorite of Stew’s, Beast & Buckle carries fits for large, medium, or small dogs. Its designs are unconventional and fun for pets and people.
